Vol. Brooklyn · The Monument Makers
A Brooklyn story,
told in granite.
Behind a courtyard wall on Coney Island Avenue, a family has been doing patient work: listening to other families, drawing memorials by hand, and carving them in granite that will outlast us all.
This is not a shop you hurry through. Come with photographs and stories — the stone can wait until they are told.

The method
Three chapters of care
As practiced daily at 2730 Coney Island Avenue.
We meet & listen
At the shop on Coney Island Avenue, or by email — whichever feels easier. No appointment needed, no pressure ever.
We design together
You approve a scale drawing of the monument — stone, shape, lettering and artwork — and we revise it until it feels right.
We craft & install
We carve the granite, handle all cemetery paperwork, and set the monument ourselves. You receive photographs the day it stands.
“We treat every stone as if it were for our own family — because here in Brighton, it often is.”

Whenever you are ready
Come talk it through.
Bring photographs, a cemetery name, an idea — or nothing at all. We will listen first, and guide you gently through every choice. Consultations are free, in English or Russian.
