Our family, for yours
The Quiet Work of Remembering
Brighton Monuments is a small family workshop on Coney Island Avenue. We design and craft granite memorials for families across Brooklyn and all of New York — one stone at a time.
Why we do this
A monument is a conversation
between generations.
When a family comes to us, they are often carrying the hardest weeks of their lives. Our work begins with listening — to who the person was, what the family needs, and what the cemetery allows. Only then do we talk about stone.
Every memorial we make is drawn, approved, and carved as if it were for our own family — because in this neighborhood, it often is. We serve the communities of Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Gravesend and beyond, in English and Russian, and we never rush a decision that is meant to last a century.
What guides us
Three promises we keep
Patience
Grief has its own calendar. We will hold a design, a quote, or a deposit for as long as your family needs — without a single follow-up call you didn't ask for.
Craftsmanship
Hand-finished granite, deep-cut lettering, and porcelain portraits that hold their color. If a detail isn't right, we redo it — that simple.
Fair dealing
One written price that includes the drawing, the stone, the carving, cemetery paperwork, delivery and installation. No surprises at the end.
How it works
From first visit to final installation
Most monuments are completed in eight to twelve weeks, depending on the cemetery and the season.
We meet & listen
At the shop or over email. Bring photographs, ideas, or nothing at all — we will guide you gently through the choices.
We draw it
You receive a scale drawing of the monument with lettering and artwork. We revise it until it feels exactly right.
We handle approvals
Every New York cemetery has its own rules. We prepare and file the paperwork and deal with the foundation order for you.
We carve & install
The stone is cut, carved and polished, then set at the cemetery. We send you photographs the day it is installed.
No pressure, ever
